Write Like No One's Watching Blog What I'd Like For Christmas

The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a Fuck - Everyone seems to recommend this and it's a technique I dearly need to learn.Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - I still haven't read this and since many a childhood Christmas was spent reading Harry Potter, I see no reason why that should change.Olympus PEN E-PL8 - I don't think it would be a Christmas list for me unless a camera featured in some way. I have lusted after the PEN for so long and the latest model in tan is just pure love. I'd take any shade to be fair though!Jamie Oliver's Superfood Family Classics - I love food, I love Jamie, I love cookery books.Cath Kidston Pyjamas - I have wanted a pair of soft Cath Kidston flannel pyjamas for so long. One day. One day.Charlotte Tilbury Scent of a Dream - I seem to be a bit of a perfume hoarder, but I'd love to try something of Charlotte's.MAC Velvet Teddy - My old one is running low and I love the new packaging for the Shadescents launch.Lush Christmas Range - Anything from this range, but definitely a bottle of Snow Fairy and a bath bomb or two.(Not pictured) Some super soft cosy lounge socks - I really want some and need some suggestions (or possibly a family member to surprise me with some!)The lovely Lucy of Capture by Lucy has launched a Backdrop Store for photography and I would absolutely love one for Christmas. I think the white floorboard backdrop is for me. I am so proud of her - she's a genius and this would be brilliant for my work....But yes. This Christmas, I would really just like some quality time with my family, fifty pigs in blankets and some Prosecco. But, failing that, I would quite like these.I was saying to Mark the other night that, since becoming a mother, I have pretty much always asked for money towards furniture and DIY, or vouchers towards the house. And that has been such a big help. Because we had so much to do and couldn't have done it without those gifts over the years. Last year I remember asking for IKEA vouchers, and we went in between Christmas and New Year and bought all of Daisy's furniture for her nursery, and some bits for Bill's room and elsewhere too - like our kitchen sofa. And I was so excited. I couldn't wait. But we are, for the most part, done now. Well - our hallway is diabolical, and our kitchen is half-done even now. But I have just turned a blind eye to it recently, as it doesn't matter and I'm not a wizard. I have two kids and I work from home and I can't do everything. And eventually we will get there. We have a roof over our heads and that's really all that matters. Plus - it gives me a project for next year doesn't it?Anyway, I ramble, I would really just like to have a few gifts under the tree for me this year. I have put myself last for a long time and I would like to change that next year. But that's more for a reflective 2016 post isn't it?The collection of things above are very much if every member of my family won the lottery. Really, I'd be made-up with a book, some cosy lounge socks that are super soft (really do need some recommendations there), a candle and a couple of bath bombs. What about you?
