WorxAudio: WorxAudio unveils XL1 line array loudspeaker

WorxAudio Technologies has made a new addition to its TrueLine family of line array loudspeaker systems with the XL1.Designed as an ultra-compact high performance system for the reproduction of speech and music programme material, the XL1 is available in both touring and install versions - both powered and passive - making it well-suited for a wide range of sound reinforcement applications.It is a two-way, high efficiency, line array loudspeaker that incorporates a large format 1.4-inch exit compression driver coupled to a stabilized proprietary FlatWave Former. Dual 8-inch cone transducers coupled to the Acoustic Integrating Module minimise cone filtering throughout the entire operating range.Powered versions of the WorxAudio XL1 incorporate the company's new PDA-1000 power amplifier with integrated DSP, Dante audio networking capability, and WorxControl loudspeaker management system. The PDA-1000 is a 2-channel, Class D power amp with 500W per channel and includes XLR Input and XLR Pass thru. The amplifier can be protected from outdoor elements with the optionally available rain shield.Central to the XL1's performance attributes is its 160-degree horizontal dispersion pattern, which helps ensure even coverage throughout the listening environment. The loudspeaker features a sturdy multi-ply plywood enclosure, with a multi-layered catalysed polyurethane finish.
