Local Perth job advertisments have spiked as some form of normality returns to the workplace after the annual festive season comes to a close. Traditionally during the last few weeks of December and first few weeks of January, job advertisements take a dive however bounce back fairly quickly by the end of January. This latest period was no acception as Seek advertisements dropped to just over 5,000 in the first week of January. At these levels the number of advertisements is down 35% on the 2016 average and pretty much half of the weekly average of 10,300 for the 2015. What is interesting this time around is that they have bounced back substantially to levels not seen since November 2015!
