Winning Works Blog What a lovely day out at Derby Roundhouse

We had a lovely day at the Spring Market at Derby Roundhouse on Sunday. It was great to meet so many lovely customers at our stand.Mr WW (Chris) completed his upcycled pallet tree which we used to display our engraved signs and gifts and it looked great. We even got a commission for one for a shop window display! As usual, customers snapped up our engraved slate and wooden signs and our best seller was our new, and very cheesy engraved slate cheese board, in homage to Lionel Ritchie. If you missed it, it's available on this websiteI was thankful to snatch a few minutes to do a little shopping myself. As usual, there were some lovely things to buy, making it difficult to choose! Here's some of my stash:I can never resist gorgeous jewellery from Carolyn Clare and was able to get my fix of lovely natural skin products from Helen at Big Green Tree. I use Big Green Tree's Garden Balm on my hands when I'm in the workshop. It protects and nourishes all at the same time. How clever!I spotted some beautiful handmade earrings from the very talented Rachel at Tattered Rose and returned to her stall later in the day for a lovely bright pink scarf. I'm sure it will be a firm favourite this Summer.Next it was lovely flavoured oil from Brock & Morten. We fed well too - Hog Roast, great coffee and some Barry Colenso choccies. Yum! And whilst shopping and serving customers, we thoroughly enjoyed listening to the Foaming Pints. Great sets guys!As usual, Deb and her team at Fabulous Places worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the Spring Market so enjoyable for visitors and stallholders alike. We are now looking forward to the Summer Market on Saturday & Sunday 6th July, when we will be showcasing some of our new collection for fans of sewing and crafting.Hope to see you there!
