WVU Tech celebrates student accomplishments with 2025 Dean of Students Awards BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) - Students and faculty at WVU Tech met at the Margaret A. Carter Auditorium Wednesday evening, April 16th, all to celebrate student success at WVU Tech in the 2025 Dean Of Students Awards. Woodrow Wilson High School hosts signing ceremony for enlisted students For some students, this was not their first awards, like senior Samuel Miller. "I just like making other people happy, I like to see other people improve and get better. I actually found my calling in that and I'm very happy to be a part of this." Samuel Miller, President of the Student Government Association at WVU Tech The Dean Of Students Awards recognizes students success throughout the 2024-2025 school year. Raleigh County Commission vote offers advantage to local businesses From resident assistance to student government, dozens of students were recognized for their contributions. "Even though I'm a freshman, so many people have come together and helped me get through the year. If I've had a question, they've helped me. A lot of these students I know and I appreciate them so much." Melia Price, Freshman at WVU Tech The award show was also special for one person in particular. Dean of Students Emily Sands said she is proud of all the students and their accomplishments. "I give mom hugs! I cheer them on when they are doing amazing and I pick them up when they fall. I've watched them grow from freshman, who were unsure about themselves and what they wanted to do, to amazing student leaders who are going to go out and take the world by storm."
