Florida Blue parent company GuideWell Mutual Holding Corp. has signed an agreement to acquire WebTPA, an administrator of self-funded employer health plans. Terms of the transaction, which Guidewell said in a statement is expected to close by the end of the year, were not disclosed. Based in suburban Dallas, Texas, WebTPA provides administration solutions and products to employers, health systems and insurance companies. It has about 500 employees.
