Upgrading from Windows XP 32-bit to Windows 8 64-bitAlthough this isn't about web design, it is an important topic for millions with Windows XP. Since Microsoft ended support for Windows XP I figured it was time to jump on the Windows 8 bandwagon. The big question was whether I could do it.My desktop is old, about 12 years. However it has been upgraded a couple of times. The most recent upgrade was 5 years ago. At that time I installed an Asus M3N78-VM motherboard with an AMD Quad Core 9650 processor. It seemed to me that updating to Windows 8 64-bit should be a piece of cake.
