On a corner in Tokyo, Ginza Crossing, is the Nissan showrooms. The building was designed by Tokyo based architects Klein Dytham who won a competition to redevelop the former beer hall.Over 5,000 aluminium panels make up the facade, inspired by Origami, these panels are designed to slide in the event of an earthquake.The eleven storey building has a facade made up of a three part structure which is covered in diamond shaped metal panels with a glass coating over the paint.Details and image [...]
