Unity Mining (ASX:UML) has confirmed the presence of a significant zone of high-grade mineralisation up-dip of the main mining area of its Henty operation in Tasmania as an underground drilling program continues. The mineralisation was discovered in very close proximity to the mine's surface decline.Standout assays from the exploration so far have included 1.1 metres at 28.1 g/t gold, 0.55 metres at 13.6 g/t gold and 4.5 metres at 4.1 g/t gold.Another 1.5-metre intersection at 8.5 g/t gold included 0.7 metres at 13.7 g/t gold. The campaign under a farm-in agreement with the PYBAR Group is continuing at full pace with three rigs in action at a number of key Henty targets. As well as outlining a significant zone of mineralisation, preliminary interpretation in this area is beginning to indicate that the mineralisation in an area known as the Collar zone may be of a different style and mineralogy to other parts of the Henty deposit. There are indications of a higher coarse gold component and a stronger association with silver and base metals. Detailed geological logging of drill holes in the area is indicating that the main mineralised structure is not truncated by the Henty Fault, as previously assumed, but instead runs parallel to it.Drilling at Henty's Darwin South resource and Deep read areas has returned 2 metres at 22.9 g/t gold, 2.8 metres at 36.5 g/t gold and 1.95 metres at 33.5 g/t gold.Further drilling is planned to test the extensions of Darwin South in the coming weeks.Proactive Investors Australia is the market leader in producing news, articles and research reports on ASX "Small and Mid-cap" stocks with distribution in Australia, UK, North America and Hong Kong / China.
