Microsoft announced today that they have established two new datacentres here in Australia and that as a result of this, Office 365 and Dynamics CRM Online services are now locally hosted in these datacentres along with Microsoft Azure to create Australia's most "complete" cloud.So.. what do this actually mean to your business?Essentially, everything will continue to run as it has, however, there should be at least two improvements:Local data storage meaning that yoru business data will be kept here in Australia. Having said that, its very difficult to say wether Microsoft will replicate this data offshore or not in the future.Speed of access. With data hosted locally, accessing data should be noticably quicker then it has been. So, what will happen to your Office 365 data?In September, Microsoft will begin the process of automatically moving your Office 365 data - currently housed in overseas datacentres - to their new datacentres here in Australia. For those using Microsoft Dynamics, you need to actively opt-in to take advantage of the benefits of locally hosted Dynamics CRM Online services.View our Office 365 Plansoffice 365hostingaustraliamicrosoftdata
