Last Wednesday was our first week with our 'new' wooden apple boxes - and we have to say, we're loving them! Practically speaking, they're much easier to carry, load, stack and re-pack. Thanks to Mama Kathy from Wolf River Farm in Meaford for letting us use them for our little project! They've been well used on her farm for over 20 years hauling apples, pears and lots of local veggies to and from market - so they're hardy enough to handle even our biggest boxes of produce! When you come to the next pick-up, bring your empty box and we'll trade you for a full one. No deposit required. Last week's pick-up was another great success! Thanks to those who came out and picked up a box and stuck around a bit to chit chat with us. We got to meet a few new faces and get great feedback from our returning customers. For our next pick-up, we'll be setting up on the picnic tables at the entrance to the parking lot so you won't have any trouble finding us.
