The Austin Chronicle: Austin Chronicle co-founder to leave paper for other ventures

Austin Chronicle co-founder, co-owner and co-editor Louis Black has left the weekly alternative newspaper he started 36 years ago to pursue other ventures. Black - who also co-founded South by Southwest - will work closely with publisher Nick Barbaro on the transition process through the end of the year as Black dives deeper into other creative endeavors, according to an announcement on the Chronicle's website.
