Our industry has recently been abuzz with the disclosure of both the Spectre and Meltdown exploits. Usually, we would have silently pushed out the patches for this, but we have found ourselves with no good method to fix these exploits. We have spent many collective hours researching the issues and potential fixes, but we still have reached a bit of a difficult crossroads with this process as we concur with many security experts that wholesale application of the current fixes is in no way an ideal solution.
