In other words, if you perform a Google search on a mobile device the search results will not only include the web pages, but also your mobile app, irrespective of whether or not the user has the app installed. This is when the search content is relevant to your app. This helps in increasing the app installs and keeps the customer base engaged. The app indexing concept is outlined in the diagram below: If the user has your app installed, it shows the app in the search results with an open in app link, else Google prompts the user to install the app. Consider the scenario where the user is looking for some details of a movie.
