For the most part our customers have been more than happy with the service we have provided from delivering kegs and rentals to setting up Pub-Hubs for events. There have been a couple missteps along the way and instead of just letting you know about all of the successes, that we have enjoyed over the last year, we decided it would be good to let you know about a couple of mistakes. Murphy's law is anything that can go wrong will go wrong and that certainly was the case with the Big City Catering job. It all started while traveling back from Gainesville, Florida to make the event in time and deliver the Pub-Hub/keg rental unit. I immediately hit 2 hours of traffic from an accident on the Florida Turnpike and when we finally got to the event we realized my keg rental delivery guy forgot the extension cord to plug in the Pub-Hub. Adding insult to injury we picked up the wrong beer for the event, Bud Light instead of Miller Lite, although, to this day, I still can't taste the difference. I know I'm not the only one! And lastly, we didn't turn the Pub-Hub refrigerator temperature down, which didn't allow for the beer in the kegs to cool as fast as normal. Those three catastrophic events caused a nightmare for us and to this day, we've never had the chance to earn Big City Catering's business. This event was back in August 2011 and we've came a long way since and have learned from mistakes in order to not repeat them. There are no more issues on timing for Pub-Hub rentals and kegs (okay maybe once or twice afterwards, but nothing too significant), forgotten supplies, beer and kegs not being cold or picking up the wrong beer!We had another incident that wasn't as bad but was still a learning experience. In Tampa, Florida we had an event with Growlers Pub and the cost of keg delivery and Pub-Hub delivery were higher because of the distance we had to travel from Orlando, FL. The customer thought we had increased the price the day of the event but what they didn't realize was we were traveling from Orlando to Tampa with a Pub-Hub and back and that the gas alone would be half the rental costs. We took responsibility for the misunderstanding figured out a system to prevent those kind of miscommunications from happening again. The only way to grow and become more successful as a company is to learn from your mistakes and that is exactly what we have done over the past year. We appreciate the feedback given from our customers because that is what helps us improve. Thank you for your continued support and we look forwarded to providing you quality service and cold beer in the future!Tags: Cold Beer and Keg Delivery Horror Stories
