(Heather and I would also be happy to share our recipes with you at the farmer's market)Homebrewed Rootbeer by Taps From ScratchHeat a pint of filtered water up to 95 degrees and add champagne yeast. Dissolve completely.Heat just shy of 5 gallons of filtered water to 140 degrees and add 3 parts rootbeer extract and 1 part cream soda extract. Stir for 20 minutes adding one part honey and one part organic cane sugar.Cool mixture to 80 degrees and "pitch" yeast mixture. Shake vigorously for couple minutes and cool at 68 degrees for one day.Siphon off root beer from any sediment at bottom. Chill (preferably in a keg) and carbonate to 6 psi using Co2.Add homemade vanilla ice cream for float.Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream by Heather (Taps From Scratch)Ingredients:2 quarts half-and-half cream1/2 pint heavy cream1 1/2 organic sugar4 teaspoons vanilla extract1 pinch of saltCombine all of the ingredients in a freezer container of an ice cream maker.
