Subimods Blog Process West V-Mount Mock Up

Got over to work on the car some today and snapped some progress pics. The 4pt roll bar set up is nearly complete, just have to add a couple of side braces and that'll be complete. The tin sheeting has been set in place on the rear dash and the rear pass through. We are hoping by Friday to have the tin work on the rear side panels, rear seat cover, and door cards completed. We are also putting some custom bead work on the tin sheets to help add some strength. Also today, we mocked up the Process West V-Mount. I have to say, this kit is pretty sick. The quality is top notch, and it is seriously so simple to install. I honestly think that a normal front mount is more difficult. However, we are going to beef the kit up a little bit, as the lower support bar only bolts through the tube framing of the front support frame. So we are going to weld in some bracing to reinforce the mounting points to really stiffen it up. While this fabrication is being finished, we are also going to finish mounting the fuel cell in the trunk, battery tray, and a custom windshield wiper fluid tank solution in the trunk as well. Then we'll get the car back to our shop and work on getting the motor back into the car, then it'll be finishing up the fuel and brake system. It's making progress, slowly, but solid progress. Here are some pics, more to come! Rollbar setup: Subimods logo bead rolled into rear pass through tin: Process West V-Mount mockup: The install was very straight forward. The pictures do not do this kit justice! • Joe
