Next step is building upon your signature look. If you're a little lost at this point look for inspiration. The quickest way is to look at your favorite celebs. Do they have a running theme? If you like Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Richie, and Vanessa Hudgens style you probably lean more towards boho chic. Here is a list of celebrities and their styles.Edgy- Rihanna, Ciara, Gwen StefaniPolished-Posh Beckham, Kerry Washington, Michelle Obama Boho Chic- Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Richie, Vanessa HudgensGlam- Beyonce, JLo, Kim KPreppy/Quirky- Zooey Deschanel, Kate Middleton Retro- Taylor Swift, Dita Von TeeseCasual Chic- Halle Berry, Miranda KerrThese are just a few celebrities to pull inspiration from. You can look at certain time periods too. The 90's is a popular period right now. But look at an era you love. For me it's the 70's. I love big hair, bell-bottoms, high heel shoes, and deep v-neck tees, jumpsuits, and dresses. I personally don't wear all these styles but I do draw inspiration from that time. I love looking at photos of my mother especially from that time. She had a fierce fro and always looked flawless in white jumpsuit. I also love the colors such as tans, wines, oranges, and browns. Look at everything from colors, art, magazines, street style, bloggers, Pinterest, your friends, etc for inspiration. Who and/or what inspires your signature style? Is it your mom, a piece of artwork, decade of time? I would love to know what inspires you. Stay tuned for the next part in this series.
