I am so fortunate that so many of my friends choose me to document their weddings. I mean heck they can go with anyone but the fact that they choose me is such an honor. I have known Colleen and Carl for close to 10 years now, we met by way of Colleen's older sister Jen. Jen and I were college roomies and now life long friends. Colleen is the 2nd of 2 sisters from the Sentar family to be married this year. I cannot tell you how excited I was to be included in both of these weddings. The Sentar family is comprised of 5 amazingly talented and brilliant sisters and the most devoted mother (Sharon) and father (John). Over the years I have grown very close to the whole family and I am so blessed they have welcomed me with open arms. When Colleen contacted me and told me that she and Carl had gotten engaged I was not shocked since they are prefect together, but I was certainly over the moon happy for them. Colleen and Carl hit the partner jackpot. Carl is kind, patient, and dedicated and Colleen is charismatic, determined, and giving. I really do enjoy being in their company as a couple, better together than apart they really do complete each other.Colleen, hands down has been my most laid back bride to date (I mean this in a good way). Mostly do to her amazing organization skills this wedding was planned and hammered out months before the actual date. Everyone started the day with a happy calm pace. Nothing was rushed, and everyone had time to sit back and enjoy the moments leading up to the walk down the isle. I asked Colleen a few times how she felt and her response was, "I am ready." Everything about her radiates unwavering confidence. I arrived to the church in Kingston, NY a bit early to catch up with Carl and sure enough Carl was ALL smiles and some excited nerves. Carl was just so happy to be reunited with his bride that afternoon and you could tell this was the happiest day of his life. Although I have known Carl for a few years I have not had the pleasure of meeting his full bridal party. Can I just say what a bunch of loving gentlemen. Without a doubt the bond among all of these guys is very strong and many of the relationships predate high school. Such brotherly love. After the couple concluded their ceremony with a kiss they made their way via party bus to Link at Union Vale. This is a country club roughly 1.5 hours outside of NYC and it is just DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! I mean breathtaking views as far as the eye can see. The perfect location for a fall wedding. The mild temperature made the evening that much more enjoyable as Colleen, Carl, and their guests were able to gather outside and look over their beautiful grounds and admire an award winning sunset. As the sun dipped below the trees and moon was on the raise the couple and their party made their way to the dinning room where to mood turned ELECTRIC! Let me tell you, this group LOVED to dance and the floor was full from commencement to finale. Big inclusive circles formed and everyone cheered as guests showed off their best dance moves. There was love, there were a few tears (Sharon), and there was dancing. I don't think I could have imaged a more perfect day. I just want to wish them all the happiness that marriage offers. Keep each other in your hearts always and the rest will fall into place. Cheers to the bride and groom!
