From October 2013 to October 2015, Spinque is one of the members of the EU-funded FP-7 COMSODE project, which develops architectures and methodologies for first-class, sustainable support for the publishing and exploitation of Open Data.In this blog post on the COMSODE official website we present Linked Open Images, a mobile application to explore historic material about World War II that gives access to three Open Data collections: historic (1) Dutch news reels shared by Sound and Vision and (2) Photographs and (3) Books shared by NIOD.This demo application shows the power of the COMSODE data pipeline in practice, from data publishing, to data linking, API development, and final app development.
