(Alliance News) - The board of directors of Somec Spa approved the results for the 2024 fiscal year, reporting a net profit of EUR4.8 million, an improvement from the negative EUR10.4 million in 2023. Revenues totaled EUR383.2 million, up 3.2 percent from EUR371.0 million in 2023, driven by a positive performance of the Horizons division-Engineered Systems of Naval Architectures and Civil Facades. Ebitda for 2024 increased to EUR30.1 million from EUR18.2 million in 2023, up 66 percent, with a marked recovery in margin to 7.9 percent from 4.9 percent as of Dec. 31, 2023. Ebit, on the other hand, stood at EUR12.9 million, a marked improvement from the same period last year when it was EUR200,000. Net financial position was EUR36.1 million, an improvement from EUR57.7 million as of June 30, 2024 and EUR60.1 million in FY2023 due to higher operating cash generation while the order backlog was EUR744 million, with new orders acquired in 2024 alone worth a total of EUR350 million.
