SolarDock Blog Featured Project: Johns Hopkins University

In searching for some photos for a presentation, I ran across this press release from Johns Hopkins about their campus-wide solar project:As part of its ongoing efforts to shrink its carbon footprint, The Johns Hopkins University has installed more than 2,900 solar panels on seven buildings on the Homewood and East Baltimore campuses. The solar panels are expected to produce 997,400 kilowatt hours of electricity each year while reducing the university's output of greenhouse gases by 1.2 million pounds annually. Over the course of one year, the system will produce electricity equivalent to that consumed by 34 average homes.SolarDock was used on six of the seven buildings. The photo above is the aerial shot of the Newton H. White Athletic Center which is shown in the press release. Big thanks to Eastlight Renewable Ventures, the developer of the project, for the photo!
