Each spring I dreaded switching back to Daylight Savings Time. Besides losing an hour of sleep, I was faced with resetting all of the devices around the house containing a timer or clock. Outlet timers, used to set the on and off times for lamps, don't seem to have changed much in the last 50 years. While newer digital models have added more buttons, more expense, and more options to the time setting routine, most people don't find them very easy to use. Time to rethink the lamp timer problem
