A prominent D.C. developer who helped save the historic Sixth & I synagogue building from a future as a nightclub is now aiding in the synagogue's expansion. Sixth & I, located at 600 Eye St. NW, will grow into an adjacent townhome it has just acquired from Douglas Development, whose founder and president, Douglas Jemal, is one of the synagogue's founders.
