Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Meadows Campground)Hershey RV ShowRelaxing after spending 11 hours at the RV ShowHershey RV Show BoothHersheypark Camping Resort was purchased in July of 2013 by Hershey Park. When we camped in September they still had a few bugs to work out. I did not find the staff friendly, this could have been because of all the changes that were taken place and no one was sure of anything. The workers who rode around in the golf carts were very nice and friendly (these were the original staff from when it was Hershey Meadows Campground). They have a shuttle to the park and to the RV show for those who don't want to deal with parking which is nice especially with kids. The month of September in PA is not the greatest, leaves everywhere. The sites are gravel, but are pretty level. They do offer some grassy sites as well as cabins of all sizes. I stayed here years ago on a grassy site and it was really nice. I wasn't crazy about our site or the gravel this time around. Depending on how your neighbor parks, your picnic table is pretty much right near their sewer connection. Since we were gone 12 hours of the day I didn't mind it too much. Left the campsite each day at 8:15 am for the RV Show and returned about 8:45 pm. We had three booths to show our Simplicity Sofas for RV's, Home, and Boats. The size we had were the Apartment Size Sofas, Mid Size Sofas and both the Timothy Queen Mattress Pull Out Sofa Bed and the Christy Full Size Mattress Pull Out Sofa Bed. All the sofas and pull out sofa beds fit through any opening of 16" or larger. Now it's easy to get a new sofa in your RV door! We relaxed for about a hour and headed off to bed once we got back to our camper. They did have cable and WiFi and as you already know, since it's park of Hershey Park there is LOTS for the kids to do. As for us, it was a working week at the RV Show.We will stay there again September of 2015 for the RV show since it's convenient, hopefully we can get a grassy site and the staff will be friendlier. Here's some information:Dining OptionsHershey offers a deliciously diverse selection of restaurants.
