Using a secure connection ensures that sensitive data is not modified during transfer. In addition, Google is recommending that sites use a secure HTTPS connection, and might be considering it as a minor SEO factor.SSL certificate can be installed on responsive and mobile sites, as long as a custom (your own) domain is pointed to your website.
