To access the air throttle valve and the idle air control valve, deliver cleaning fluid to dissolve the viscous contaminants in the intake manifold, and most importantly deliver the cleaner to dissolve the hard build-up of contaminants on the back of the air intake valve disconnect the air tube from the end of the air intake manifold and pull it aside. Increase idle to 1700 RPM. Spray Air Intake & Intake Valve Cleaner directly onto the throttle linkages, throttle valve surfaces and into the intake manifold until clean. Excess product may be absorbed with a shop towel. Idle air control valves may require removal to facilitate cleaning.
