As we kick off 2020, it’s important to take a moment to reflect and celebrate all the ways our company did epic Shift in 2019. Let’s dive in and peak into the future, shall we? First Quarter February – Our first ever diversity speaker, Robert Smith, who presented on: The Rise and Fall of Black Bottom and Paradise Valley. Look for more diversity focused events in 2020. Grand Valley American Marketing Association (right) visited our Birmingham office to learn about digital marketing. March – March Madness holds a special place in our hearts, so it’s only natural that we held our annual bracket challenge with Sam Dorland taking home the Grand Prize. Who will win this year? Second Quarter April – Ferris State Public Relations Student Society of America visited us for the second year in a row! May – With a larger emphasis on fitness last year, we hosted a handful of private fitness classes exclusively for our employees at Cycle Bar and Jabs Gym. The West Coast Team put their critical thinking to the test with an office-wide Murder Mystery event. June – Our annual (epic) internship program turned another year older! We celebrated this “birthday” by hosting thirteen summer interns between our Birmingham and Laguna Beach offices. 2020 summer internship program info to come! HQ employees volunteered with Green Living Science, a recycling educational non-profit based in Detroit. We’re continuing to focus on going green with more ways to give back to the community through our Sustainability Committee in 2020. Third Quarter July – The annual kickball tournament continues to grow with over 150 participants last year.
