Many seniors are confused about the Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare, because they believe that their traditional Medicare coverage will change for the worse. This is wrong. The Affordable Care Act offers health insurance for adults younger than 65, so anyone 65 years and older will continue to receive normal coverage either through Medicare or - if still employed - through their employer's health insurance plan. Timothy Jost, a professor at Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, VA, says that seniors have been "a prime target for misinformation campaigns about the Affordable Care Act."
