SDCCC: San Diego convention center makes transition to VenueOps software

San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) in the US is to transition from an antiquated venue management system to EventBooking's latest cloud-based platform, VenueOps. Management said it had chosen the platform partly because of its flexibility in sharing data with other best-in-class applications, including integrating with its existing popular finance software solution. Mardeen Mattix, CFO at San Diego Convention Center, commented: "The smooth communication between these two systems will allow us to have the best of both worlds - the specialised functionality of each, without settling for a mediocre, single system trying to be all things at once." EventBooking is tight-lipped on the financials involved in the deal, but company president Steve Mackenzie told CMW: "Given the significant investment involved, we are thrilled that San Diego has put their faith in VenueOps as their venue booking system of choice. We're confident the tight integration between our applications will simplify the everyday processes of this impressive facility, and we look forward to providing the same white glove service to their team that we've become known for in the industry at large."
