Satispie: Firm Commits $34M to Open New Waffle Plant in Georgia

Rochester, NY-based SatisPie is dedicating $34 million to open a new manufacturing plant in Georgia that will enable the firm to add waffles and pancakes to its product portfolio, the Georgia Department of Economic Development announced in a recent release. Batter Up Foods, the firm's parent company, plans to open the 102,000-sq-ft facility in Fulton County. The site will be capable of manufacturing 580 million waffles each year when it opens. "We are thrilled to establish this food processing facility in Fulton Industrial Park which will produce top of the line breakfast items for the world-class retailers we serve," Batter Up Foods Chief Executive Officer Mike Pinkowski said in a statement.The company will start to upgrade an existing food processing facility in Fulton Industrial Park this year. Over 160 jobs will be created as a result of SatisPie's expansion.
