Rectuoso Blog Job adverts - The Dos and Don'ts

Dear Recruiters, Hope you're well, this blog will tackle the subject of job adverts. Recently, I've been scanning the various job boards out there and I've come across some terrible examples with poor spelling and incomplete sentences [I also witnessed some without even the basic details like what the job involves]. To illustrate further an example advert for the role of a babysitter is shown below. As you can see this advert has all the characteristics of an un-engaging and generic job advert: it relies on colons too much there isn't a complete sentence in sight; it's practically just a list of keywords. Job hunters are more likely to respond to a coherent advert that speaks to them and gives a real sense of your company, rather than a mere list of bullet points or scattered facts. Your job adverts should have more thought and personality put into them. The look and feel of the job advert should never be taken lightly; the overwhelming majority of job seekers report these factors have a huge bearing on whether they click apply or not.
