Rapidshare: Rapidshare Closing Down: File-Sharing Giant Becomes Latest Hit By Pirate Bay Ripple Effect

Farewell, Rapidshare. One of the pioneers of online filesharing announced just announced it will no longer exist past March 31 of this year without specifying why. While Rapidshare wasn't used exclusively for pirating content, its voluntary closure comes after the Pirate Bay and a number of other piracy survivors have encountered more pressure from law enforcement.
