New Version of the component 'Image Creation' has been released for Qbot Studio. The Test Step 'Find' is based on a concept of the comparison of expected with observed images. In Qbot Studio an image is saved as a tuple consisting of the graphical image itself, a derived shape for model comparison, and a region for search. This tuple is known as an Image Composition. With the new version of the component 'Image Creation' we have completely redesigned the functions 'Create Image' and 'Edit Image'.For creating an image the following three different sources can be selected - camera, grabber or from the hard disk. The images can be categorized in freely definable groups of images. To avoid unnecessary redundancy of images saved, search and filter functionality in the Image Repository allows the user to find the appropriate existing image. In 'Edit Image' existing images can be modified. This is very useful for reuse of test cases where only visual elements are altered, and the functionality to test remains the same. Image statistics give the user an overview of all test cases and test steps in which the image is used, and does not allow the user to delete images which are still in use in test cases. In addition, the program shows quality metrics for the images, such as how many times an image was not found when expected, and the average probability with which an image is found. This helps the user identify poor quality images for modification.Tags: Press Room
