The Stage 2 Final Rule for Meaningful Use modified the Stage 1 Rule to include providing the patient with the ability to view online, download and transmit (VDT) their health information. This new 2 part objective requires Part 1 for Stage 1 (50% of patients are provided access to VDT) and Part 1 and 2 (5% of patients login to VDT) for Stage 2 of Meaninful Use for the Eligible Physicians (EP), Eligible Hospital (EH) and Critical Access Hospital (CAH).
