PNC: PNC Arena to show off upgrades at 'Canes opener

When hockey fans visit PNC Arena for the Hurricanes opener Friday, they might notice some changes. Most immediately, fans might see the ice just a little bit better after the arena upgraded to LED lighting from CREE. There were also other upgrades to various parts of the arena and a $100,000 suite renovation in which one of the luxury boxes was transformed in to what is called a "loge" box, in which multiple companies share a luxury suite, instead of buying one all to themselves.
