Pinecrest Schools, a private school founded 65 years ago in Van Nuys that blossomed into the largest family-held co-educational school system in the U.S., will be closing at the end of the school year, its president has announced.In a letter addressed to parents, President and CEO Jeri Dye Lynch says Pinecrest has "exhausted both our emotional and financial reserves trying to maintain our school business.
