Hoshanah Raba & Shemini Atzeret On each day of the Sukkot festival, after the recitation of hallel or after musaf, a Torah scroll is removed from the ark and brought to the bimah (where the Torah is read). The chazan and congregation say the first four Hoshanot responsively. They then circle the bimah holding the lulav and esrog and recite the longer Hoshana prayer for the respective day of the Festival, as they appear in the Siddur. Musical Hoshanah Rabah Services, Sunday, Oct 4th @ 8:30am - Services led by Yehuda Solomon with Happy Minyan at B'nai David Judea Congregation Beis Midrash 8906 W. Pico Blvd. In the spirit of Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, the special prayers of Hoshanah Rabbah with musical instrument accompaniment. Bring an instrument! Dancing with Torahs around the Bima for Men and WomenIt is our custom to take the Torah's from the Ark and circle the bimah seven times on the night of Shmini Atzeret.
