It's like an Ebay for synagogue segulot, blessings and honors â" and all proceeds are tzedakah and tax-deductible donations to Pico Shul!New honors include:Flower decorations to beautify the Shul for Yom KippurEssential oils to pass around to make the "Besamim" blessingHagba, lifting the Torah, for AM and PM servicesAliyot during Yom Kippur AM and PM servicesLighting the Yom Kippur Candles in the ShulPrayer for Israel and the USAAnd many moreMany of the honors are still valued at only $18 â" although some major ones like opening the Ark for Neilah are getting very competative!  PLUS you can become a shutaf, a partner, in some honors. For example, while you might be able to sponsor an entire break-the-fast for the community, you can have a share in this honor by becoming a shutaf!Receiving an honor in synagogue or contributing to the experienceof synagogue services is a special opportunity.
