Dancing with Torahs around the Bima for Men and WomenIt is our custom to take the Torah's from the Ark and circle the bimah seven times on the night of Shmini Atzeret. These Hakafot last about 20 minutes. MONDAY 9:45 AM SHEMINI ATZERETShemini Atzeret Services - Mon. 10/5, 9:45 am Services with Hallel at Pico Shul followed by standing kiddush at the Bookstein's Sukkah. SIMCHAT TORAH Monday 6:30pm Afternoon & Simchat Torah Evening Service Hakafot & Dancing 10:00 pm Tuesday Night, after your meal Midnight Chulent TischMidnight until 1:30am Simchat Torah Morning, L'Chaims, Kiddush, Dancing, AuctionTues. 10/6 9:45 am Morning Services at Pico Shul Morning Services are followed by Festive Lunch Kiddush and Auction, and then Hakafot and Dancing with Torahs around the Bima for Men and Women - Then we read the end and beginning of the Torah. 6:00pm - 7:15 pm Mincha and Neilat HaChag (Final celebrations!) --> Havdala Click here to participate in the Simchat Torah auction!
