PC-BSD: PC-BSD Operating System Gets Renamed to TrueOS, Follows a Rolling Release Model

Ken Moore, developer of the PC-BSD operating system for personal computers and creator of the Lumina Desktop Environment project, informed the community today, September 1, 2016, about a major change in the development of the OS. First off, PC-BSD is no longer PC-BSD, as it got renamed to TrueOS. Yes, it's still based on the FreeBSD operating system, and yes, you can still install it on your PC, but the biggest change is that the project now follows a rolling release model, tracking FreeBSD's "Current" branch to bring users all the latest and most advanced BSD technologies and applications.
