This is part of Sartorius' ongoing mission to support scientists by simplifying lab workflows and helping bring life-changing therapeutics to patients faster. LiveLabs currently offers 2,400 sq ft of fully equipped R&D space for new ventures to nurture and grow their bioscience research, with plans for future expansion. As part of this new partnership, Sartorius is providing LiveLabs with a fully equipped Incucyte ® SX5 Platform for high-throughput live-cell analysis, including all software modules. The comprehensive agreement also includes Sartorius Lab Essential products, featuring the leading Picus ® 2 Electronic Pipette and Cubis ® II Balance. "Limited funding during the startup phase often leads to bottlenecks at a time when there is immense pressure to generate high quality data and achieve milestones." says Debbie Brown, Head of Life Science Sales EMEA at Sartorius. "Our partnership with LiveLabs empowers companies at this crucial stage by providing state-of-the-art solutions that simplify workflows and deliver reproducible, physiologically relevant data, accelerating the journey from bench to market." The Incucyte ® platform is a powerful asset in cell culture workflows involving sensitive or expensive cell types due to its non-invasive imaging and kinetic monitoring of live cells. Its high-throughput capability is unique in the market and valuable for startup labs aiming to maximize their data generation potential. Combined with Sartorius' lab essentials, this portfolio supports and fosters the growth of new companies in LiveLabs. "It's a pleasure to work with the Sartorius team to support the LiveLabs community. Sartorius equipment has significantly improved LiveLabs' capabilities, plus the technical support and training the team offers are fantastic," says Ruth Campbell, LiveLabs Manager. "We are thrilled to welcome Sartorius as a new sponsor of LiveLabs, our shared lab space." adds Jenny Hirst, Senior Lead in Science and Entrepreneurship at Babraham Research Campus. "Their support comes at a pivotal moment in the expansion of our shared lab space, enabling us to grow the number of life science startup companies that we support. Together, we are fostering innovation and driving forward the future of scientific discovery." Sartorius is fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the life sciences sector through a variety of initiatives. The primary goal is to support startups and researchers transitioning from academic settings to entrepreneurial ventures by offering resources such as mentoring programs, networking opportunities, and access to equipment. Among other activities, Sartorius is an initiator of the Life Science Factory, collaborates with the BioLabs network, and is a partner of Young Entrepreneurs in Science (YES).
