Virtual reality technology and experiences are debuting at the Oshawa Public Libraries this spring, and you're invited to join us to try out these exciting technologies at your nearest branch. Our virtual reality technology will be available for use by library visitors on the following dates:McLaughlin Local History Room: Tuesday, April 24th, 1pm-3pmMcLaughlin Local History Room: Tuesday, May 1st, 1pm-3pmJess Hann Children's Area: Tuesday, May 8th, 1pm-3pmNorthview Nonquon Room: Tuesday, May 15, 1pm-3pmLegends Program Room: Tuesday May 22, 1pm-3pmThe Oshawa Public Libraries' virtual reality solution consists of the HTC Vive headset, controllers and sensors, and TPCast wireless connectivity solution, giving you a wire-free, free-roaming connection to the virtual world in which you're placed.Available experiences range from relaxing immersion in natural environments, to challenging action games which will test your reflexes, to creative tools which will let you paint and sculpt in 3D.
