Opennotion Blog We've Had a Name Change!

Good Evening,Today, Kieran (one of our project managers) brought it to my attention that the term "OpenIdea" was part of a registered trademark following a forum post from my2c and Joe (one of our designers). After a brief discussion with the team members, we decided we would change the project name from "OpenIdea" to "OpenNotion" now, while the project was still small and developing."OpenIdea" was the codename I gave this project when I was first coding the basic files. In-order to be able to setup my localhost, svn and such I needed to name the project... which I quickly named "OpenIdea".This name was meant to be replaced by a different name; but Kieran and myself chose to keep it as it really summed up what this project is about... "Open" source "Idea" management software. So, the name "OpenNotion" was chosen because "notion" is simply a synonym of "idea", so the ethos of this project still applies within the name. Our website has been updated accordingly, our Facebook and Twitter accounts have also been updated accordingly however we will not be editing any old content to reflect this change. This means old forum posts, blog posts and social media posts will remain the same.
