Opennotion Blog OpenNotion Beta: We're getting there!

If you know anything about The OpenNotion Project and The OpenNotion Group; you'll likely know we enjoy sharing our progress with you... and with that being said, we're wanting to share more with you!The DesignWe've shared the design previously with you; and we received some very positive feedback. So, we'd like to share more of the design with you.The image here is a screenshot of what the design looks like when viewing an idea. The design by our team suits OpenNotion well and looks much better than the default framework theme from the Alpha. The buttons (such as the "Add Comment" button) suit the software theme perfectly. We're also looking to add an admin panel theme that allows the administrator to very easily distinguish the two sections of OpenNotion. SettingsOne of our goals is to make OpenNotion easy to manage for the administrators. We believe we are meeting this goal so far by allowing users to customize certain aspects of their OpenNotion installation. The Beta comes with 3 setting groups. Users, ideas and general.User ManagementBy default, the Beta comes with three groups. Administrators, moderators and registered users. These groups have predefined permissions, which can be altered but more importantly, the Beta allows you to create custom groups that can have user defined permissions allowing you to have more control over your members.Users can also be easily edited from the administration control panel; similar to the Alpha version. The options vary from allowing a group to moderate, to allowing a group to create ideas and comments. As OpenNotion continues to progress; we're sure we'll be adding more permissions. Due DateWe understand some people may want to know when the beta will be released; and we cannot make any promises yet on a date. What we can say though, the team are working to produce the beta by late August.
