As many of you are aware, the development of the Beta version of OpenNotion started almost instantly after the release of OpenNotion Alpha. This Beta version (while a few months away) will be a major improvement to the Alpha and really build on the current features as well as add new ones.DesignThe Beta version of OpenNotion is going to have a unique, clean and easy to use design. We've mentioned this before, however we have not yet shown you a preview. We're happy to say, we would like to change this. This design is very clean and user friendly. This is currently the only mock of the design we have; but we will release more previews of the design as the release date of the Beta approaches.Bug FixesThis Beta will contain some bug fixes that were observed in the Alpha version. Some new features include:The addition of moderatorsCustom idea statusesBlowfish password encryptionIdea categoriesUser groupsA new easy to use designUser sessionsInstaller improvementsLocalization supportDue DateWe understand some people may want to know when the beta will be released; and we cannot make any promises yet on a date. Joining The TeamAs the release of our first "gold" release 1.0.0 draws closer; I wish to empathize that we are looking for volunteers to join The OpenNotion Group to help us develop OpenNotion and support the users that are using OpenNotion. The two teams that we are really looking for applicants are the development team and the support team. I would highly encourage anyone who is interested, apply using the information on the "Joining The Team" webpage.OpenNotion Beta: An Introduction written by Conor C. in Development.
