Hudson Valley Community College is negotiating a lease with Omni Development to construct the school's first student housing. Duncan Barrett, chief operating officer at Omni Housing Development, said the company plans to build a 330-bed, $20 million residence hall. Barrett and the Troy school are negotiating a lease for 45 Vandenurgh Place where the residence hall will be constructed. A lease should be finalized by fall.
