Another open source eye-opener today. For the umpteenth time, found a solution from a community forum for an obscure problem. Open source depends on and leverages the community crowdsourcing effect. A quick search turns up the same problem as the one I was experiencing with three possible answers. (#3 was the fix - easy once identified.)Commercial software depends on solutions from the vendor - on their schedule and their budget - hence the need to charge for the privilege. Open source is better and free and immediate. And it will get better as the cumulative knowledge grows and is widely shared. So to borrow from McDonald's - "I'm lovin' it" Tweet
