Nerdeky Blog Finally, HTC's Long-Awaited Device Goes Official

After several leaks and reports, finally HTC has officially announced its much-awaited smartphone - the HTC One A9. Made entirely of metal, the beautiful looking smartphone is officially said to be available in the first week of November in four color options - Topaz Gold, Deep Garnet, Carbon Grey and Opal Silver. As of now, sadly, pricing details are not announced. Talking about specifications, the HTC One A9 comes in two variants - one has 2GB of RAM with 16GB of ROM, while another one packs 3GB of RAM with 32GB of ROM. Rest specifications of the handset are same. Running on latest Android v6.0 Marshmallow, the smartphone is built around a 5 inch AMOLED display which boasts 1080x1920 pixels of full HD resolution. Internals of the HTC One A9 are impressive as it packs a Qualcomm's Snapdragon 617 SoC which has an octa-core processor (four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.2GHz and rest four Cortex-A53 ticked at 1.5GHz) coupled with Adreno 405 Graphics Processing Unit. Interestingly, the company has applied Corning's 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 protective glass which shields the entire front. The HTC One A9 features a 13 megapixels camera on its rear with Optical Image Stabilization tech and full-HD video recording capability. It also features a 4 megapixels UltraPixel camera at its front with f/2.0 lens aperture. The smartphone is 7.2mm thick and weighs just 143 grams. The 'home' key of the HTC One A9 doubles as an 'always-on' fingerprint sensor which unlocks your phone even when the screen is off. Featuring BoomSound speakers, the handset comes with regular connectivity including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 4G and GPS in connectivity options. Further, the handset is backed by a 2150 mAh battery which is powered by Qualcomm's Quick Charge tech.
