It is with deep sadness that we announce that MAC Ltd's Founder and former Managing Director and Chairman, Professor Raymond Steele, has passed away. Ray established the company in 1986 to provide high quality consulting services and products to the emerging mobile communications sector and he served as the Managing Director and then Chairman of the Board until his retirement in 2004. He was a true pioneer of modern mobile communications and anyone who met him or attended one of his many lectures around the world will know that he was a real visionary who wasn't afraid to express his views on the future of communications technology, regardless of how absurd these may have seemed at the time.
